Our Process

Over the past 25 years, we’ve developed processes to make everything easy for you, no matter where you are in  Lawrence Park, Rosedale, Forest Hill, North Toronto, Bridle Path and Hoggs Hollow.

If you want to know more about our services, the first step is for you to complete our Let’s Talk About Your Garden online form.

Lawn & Garden Care Services Process

Here’s what to expect after you click Submit:

  • One of our Horticultural Service Representatives will phone you to find out more about what’s important to you.
  • They’ll arrange a convenient time for a complimentary consultation to view your garden and discuss your needs.
  • They’ll send you an email confirming the date and time for your consultation, attaching our Pre-Consultation Questionnaire for you to complete and return before that meeting. By getting it back to them ahead of time, you’ll be able to spend more time during your consultation showing them your garden and explaining your needs and priorities.
  • At the appointed time, your rep will come to your property to view your garden first-hand and to discuss your requirements in detail, covering all considerations and concerns.
  • Afterwards, your rep will cost out the work required to meet your needs and will explain the costs to you in detail, for your approval.
  • When you’re ready to proceed, they’ll take it from there, assigning the appropriate crew and providing them with your service requirements and maintenance schedule, including any special notes about your property, trees or plants.

From time to time, Lawrence Park will perform spot checks to ensure that the quality of care you are receiving is superb and that all your needs are completely being met.

Landscape Design Service Process

Here’s what to expect after you click Submit:

  • One of our Landscaping Service Representatives will phone you to ask you a few questions and answer any that you may have for them.
  • They’ll arrange a convenient time for a complimentary consultation to view your garden and discuss your vision for your dream garden, including what aspects are most important to you.
  • They’ll then send you an email confirming the date and time for your consultation, attaching our Pre-Consultation Questionnaire for you to complete and return before that meeting. By getting it back to them ahead of time, you’ll reduce the time spent on basic questions, leaving more time for viewing and talking about your garden.)
  • At the appointed time, your landscape designer will meet with you to get a sense of your taste, as well as your likes and dislikes, priorities and needs. They’ll also tour your garden with you to understand how you want to use and experience each area.
  • Before leaving, your designer will summarize your vision for the garden and suggest an approximate budget for your landscape investment.
  • If you decide you want to proceed, you’ll sign a contract and pay a deposit to cover the preparation of a quote to develop a comprehensive landscape design plan.
  • In a follow-up email, they’ll recap what you discussed and provide you with a quote for the option that’s appropriate for your needs. (They’ll also tell you the amount of the deposit required to get the design work underway).
Option 1: For small projects involving only softscaping (i.e., plant material), free-hand drawings (not to scale) may suffice.

Option 2: For bigger projects and ones that involve hardscaping (i.e., carpentry and stonework) CAD (computer-assisted design) drawings done to scale will be required.

  • Once you approve the quote, the design work can begin. With Option 2, we revisit your garden to examine it in greater detail while taking accurate measurements and lots of reference photos.
  • Once the drawings and quote for executing the plan are done, your designer will contact you again to arrange a time to present their landscaping concept, explain their drawings, answer questions and discuss any adjustments you’d like to make.
  • If adjustments are required, they’ll return with revised drawings and a new timeline and quote. (For the final work to begin, another deposit and contract will be required.)
  • After that, you can relax because we’ll take it from there. You won’t have to deal with any of the scheduling headaches that come from dealing with multiple companies. Nor will you have to wait around for contractors to show up—and then don’t. Your Lawrence Park team will handle everything for you while you watch your beautiful new garden take shape (or do what a few of our clients have done: go on vacation and return to a transformed garden).

Irrigation Service Process

Here’s what to expect after you click Submit:

  • Our Irrigation team leader will phone you to ask a few questions and answer any that you have.
  • He will then arrange a convenient time for a complimentary consultation to view your garden in person and assess what needs to be done.
  • He will then send you an email confirming the date and time for your consultation. He’ll also send you our Pre-Consultation Questionnaire to complete and return before that meeting. By getting it back to him ahead of time, you’ll reduce the time spent on basic questions, leaving more time to tour and talk about your garden.
  • At the appointed time, the two of you will tour your garden together, discussing what needs to be considered in developing the optimal irrigation system to meet your needs.
  • After the consultation, he’ll send you an email summarizing your discussion and if you agree with the summary, he will begin costing out the equipment and work that will be required.
  • Soon, he’ll provide you with a quote and a plan that itemizes everything that needs to be done. He’ll also tell you how soon your system could be installed, providing you with a contract to read and sign if you decide to proceed.
  • Once he receives your signed contract, he’ll take it from there, ordering the equipment, programming it, installing it and showing you how it works.
  • From time to time during the season, he will check on your property to make sure your system is functioning properly. He will even adjust it proactively if the weather has been exceptionally dry or wet, leaving you a note to inform you if any adjustments he has made.
